WHO SHOULD AVOID USING TANNING SALONS

  • children and young people under 18 years of age

  • pregnant women and women up to 2 months after delivery

  • people allergic to the sun and people with sunburn

  • people with heart problems, thyroid problems, kidney problems, vitiligo, hypertension, epilepsy, psoriasis, herpes, rosacea, and diabetes

  • people with fresh skin wounds or scars (e.g. after a recent surgery), people with many birthmarks or moles

  • people with a tendency to blood vessel dilation and capillary breakage

  • people taking photosensitizing medications or formulas, e.g. contraceptives, antidepressants, diuretics, heart medication, antibiotics, and preparations containing St. John’s wort extract

  • people who recently underwent depilation, closing of capillaries or exfoliation treatments

  • people who have recently used cosmetics with retinol, AHA acids
